But it would appear Louis Smith had relaxed his training regime somewhat as he enjoyed a boys' holiday to Ibiza alongside his JLS star pal, Aston Merrygold, on Monday.
Making the most of some rare down time, the 24-year-old gymnast looked a little out of shape as he soaked up the sun with a group of lads on the White Isle.
Relaxing the training: Louis Smith appeared to
have relaxed his training regime somewhat as he enjoyed a boys' holiday
to Ibiza alongside his JLS star pal, Aston Merrygold, on Monday
Instead of his usual washboard abs, ripped pecs and bulging biceps, the Strictly Come Dancing champion was looking a little softer around the edges as he partied up a storm with his pals.
And Louis' new look was even more noticeable when compared with his ripped physique when he won the BBC One dancing competition back in December.

A well-earned break: Instead of his usual

Writing on his Twitter before heading out to famed Ibiza nightspot Ushuaia, he said: 'Is Ushuaia ready...? Don't think so...'
Meanwhile, JLS singer Aston seemed particularly pleased to be enjoying some rare time off from his usually gruelling schedule, tweeting: 'Actually a holiday now and no work... Oh the carnage!'
Lads' holiday: Gone was the famous six-pack that
left female specatators across the country more than a little hot under
the collar, and in its place was a fairly noticeable paunch
Transformation: Louis' new look was even more
noticeable when compared with his ripped physique as he competed at the
London 2012 Olympic Games this time last year
But the athlete joked that he entered the celebrity dancing competition because he'd been gorging on too much chocolate.
He said at the time: 'I jumped at the chance of Strictly. A lot of people expected me to have to think about it because it was so soon but for me it was a no-brainer.
Fun in the sun: In spite of his rounder look,
both Louis and Aston certainly weren't short of female attention as they
enjoyed a day of fun in the sun, and were seen surrounded by a bevy of
bikini-clad beauties
Relaxed: Louis has previously admitted he can lose his definition if he relaxes his training regime too much
'People might think I couldn’t break the diet because I jumped straight into Strictly but I did. My abs are definitely slacking.
'There is this sort of downtime for athletes where you don’t really know what to do with yourself after the Games, so Strictly was the perfect opportunity for me to keep fit and still have fun.'
Working the crowd: The Olympic medallist seemed to be in high spirits as he enjoyed his day out in the Spanish sunshine
Lads on tour: Louis is enjoying a break on the
White Isle with his pals before returning to his rigorous training
regime upon his return to the UK
He told The Guardian: 'I train six days a week, twice a day. I get up around 10am, have breakfast, then head to the gym for 12. I train until 3.30pm, break for lunch, then train again from 5-8pm.
'It's tough, being an athlete in your early 20s when your friends are all going out and meeting girls. I stay in to avoid temptation.'
